I. General Job Description

This position will direct Parts, Service, and Truck Sales operations through a team of frontline managers to achieve planned sales and profitability objectives, while adhering to established procedures for business conduct, safety, and personnel administration.

Primary Responsibilities

Operations

  • Provide Day to Day Leadership and Management over a multi-site business.
  • Developing key performance goals and managing the performance of staff.
  • Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, P&L statements and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives for Parts, Service, and Truck Sales at assigned locations.
  • Overseeing large projects and interpreting performance reports.
  • Hiring new staff within a department or business unit.
  • Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality offerings to clients.
  • Improving internal processes for better productivity.
  • Provide leadership for dispute resolution and improved working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Analyze operations head count requirements and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Drive a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Managing the budget and monitoring the financial health of the assigned business unit.

Business Development

  • Creating and implementing strategies for business growth .
  • Lead sales efforts to maximize market share for New and Used Truck segments in assigned region.
  • Conduct sales meetings to monitor and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key customers.
  • Working closely with sales team and other senior staff to win new business and grow existing client base.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in the Class 8 heavy-duty trucking, construction equipment or agricultural equipment industries.
  • Experience in Class 8 parts, service, and truck sales management.
  • Demonstrated success in previous roles managing a sales and operations team.
  • Strong Fixed Operations (Parts & Service) management experience.
  • Familiarity with dealer business systems (Karmak, CDK, ADP, Procede or other major DBS).

III. Desired Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Marketing or other related field.
  • MBA Preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • CRM and SRM System proficiency.
  • Strong organization, communication, leadership, and managerial skills.
  • Six Sigma, Lean or other Continuous Improvement training.
  • Multi-site management experience.

  • Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.
  • Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department’s credibility, operations, and services.
  • Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.
  • Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.
